Marriage
Islam has strict rules for marriage, compared to Western norms where virtually all rules have been overturned and people follow their own desires. In general, a Muslim man can only marry a Muslim woman, and vice versa. There are two exceptions to this. Firstly, a man may marry up to four wives, whereas a woman may have only one husband. Second, a Muslim man may marry a true Christian or Jew, whereas a Muslim woman may not. These exceptions are often criticised as being sexist and unfair, but a little research will reveal wisdom and a system that in practice proves to be much more durable and balanced than modern secular marriages.
