Books
The Arabic Alphabet: How to Read and Write It
This is the first step for anyone wishing to learn Arabic. This short, excellent little book will teach you how to read the Arabic script, and then to write it with suprising ease.
Designed to be used with CDs / cassettes, this is a very useful resources for those studying in isolation.
Websites
This is an expensive option, but arguably the best for those without access to a teacher. You get qualified teacher support and a huge library of detailed exercises that use sound and video to reinforce learning.
